Road To 2 Moons Over Manila Fan Gathering Official PosterTwo days after the Road To 2 Moons Over Manila Fan Gathering 2017, attendees are still going hysterical over the happenings at the event! Even non-attendees are causing quite a buzz as soon as they watch snippets of the event from last Sunday.

Here are some of photos I took from my very first ever Thai BL Fan Gathering. If you see yourselves, don’t hesitate to copy and save. Oh one more thing, proper credit would be very much appreciated if you ever plan to re-upload them.

The organizers sure knew what they were doing when they planned this event. Check below for some of the other exciting happenings!

And because the series had moons and stars, it is only fitting to search for the Moon and Star of Manila. Here are snapshots of the beautiful ladies and charming gents of the Moon and Star Competition.

Road to 2 Moons Over Manila Fan Gathering 2017

Thai BL dramas are gaining popularity among the young and old these days. In the Philippines alone, there had been a good number of events that showcased Thai talents from BL dramas who were able to successfully hold fan conventions. This year is no different and the next year will be nothing short of amazing! Mind you, tickets to those fan conventions, are running out fast if not sold out already. So, if you’re a die-hard fan of a BL couple and you want to meet them up close and personal, purchase those tickets now!

Having said that, as I am typing this entry, I am currently at an official fan gathering for Road to 2 Moons Over Manila.

Registration Committee at work!

This is an event organized by GxxodBas PH, KimCop Philippines, TaeTee PH, Tee Jaruji PH in cooperation with 2Moons PH and ThaiBL FanCon MNL.

Here are the friendly and enthusiastic folks from ThaiBL FanCon MNL. (from left to right: Janina, Vanessa, Rick and Mavz)

A few months ago during the planning stage, my sister (who is busily in charge at the registration area as of writing) asked me if I wanted to try and attend a Thai BL fan gathering. To support something she’s been busy working on for about a few weeks now, I agreed. Pre-selled tickets were priced at Php200.00 (4USD) and Php250.00 (5USD) for walk-in participants. For a day of fun and “kilig”, it was worth it!

As a treat to the participants, ThaiBL FanCon MNL generously gave out 6 rehearsal passes for the 2 Moons Over Manila fanfest on November 11, 2017. The winners including those who were able to previously purchase their rehearsal passes will get to meet the lead stars of the hit BL drama from Thailand- 2 Moons. It’s not everyday that one gets the chance to gaze upon Pinnirat Suradej (Wayo), Thanit Itthipat (Phana), Kerdthongtavee Panuwat (Kit), Khemmonta Varodom (Ming), Kreepolrerk Darvid (Forth), and Jarujittranon Tanapol (Beam) up close!

The fan gathering offered a variety of “pakulo” (gimmick). Upon confirming my identity and reservation, they handed me a piece of paper with a task to complete. Ten lucky participants who will finish the challenge in record time will be receiving a randomly chosen gift.

By choice, I decided to be behind the scenes and leave the challege for other fans to enjoy. They got to play games and mingle with other supporters and shippers. The energy was so high most especially during the Moon and Star of Manila Competition and 12345 I Love You Dance Competition.

But mind you, what really got me excited were the prizes and giveaways. They got me oogling! Seriously.

They are too cute to ignore! So here’s a closer look at some of my favorites.

KimCop Pillows 🤗

Kudos to the team for a successful event! As an expectator, I clearly saw how the organizers cared for the fans. While tickets for 2 Moons Over Manila are sold out since July, they took the time to come up with an activity that would cater to fans who were not able to purchase tickets for November 11.

#TeamAirport power on!

For now, here’s a very short clip that got everyone off their seats.

Happy watching! 😚😚😚
P.S. ThaiBL FanCon MNL will bring back the boys of 2 Moons: The Series in April 2018. ✌

Scallion Salad #cravings

The Koreans does it best. Hands down.

Pa Muchim or Scallion Salad is often served with grilled meat. It is a staple in every Korean BBQ Restaurant.

The dressing is a combination of soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, sesame seeds, Korean chilli flakes (gochaguru), white vinegar and minced garlic. It’s always best to consume the scallion salad after seasoning it as it will wilt easily once combined with the dressing.

So here’s one Scallion Salad recipe I’ve tried from Hyosung (click to open link to the original recipe).

Pa muchim (Scallion Salad)
Serves 4
Ingredients
  • 3 to 4 medium scallions
Option 1
  • 2 teaspoons gochugaru
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Option 2
  • 2 teaspoons gochugaru
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
Instructions
  • Cut the scallions crosswise into about 4-inch lengths. Thinly slice each piece lengthwise.
  • Soak the scallions in cold water for about 10 minutes. Drain well.
  • Option 1: Add the gochugaru, sesame oil, and sesame seeds and toss well.
  • Option 2: Right before serving, add the soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar to Option 1 and toss well.
